We had a cold snap come through last night. In addition to the two beavers I caught yesterday, I scored four more this morning:
I boned out the meat, added 20% by weight of bacon ends and ran it through the meat grinder.

All in all, I made $240 in cash, put 10 pounds of high quality burger in the freezer – for an investment of about $12 in cable and parts – some of which can be reused. Too bad my 401K can’t match that rate of return.
I worked hard, am good and tired; but a country boy can survive – and prosper.
